Massachusetts Surf Forecast map for predicting the best wave and wind conditions across the region. For surfers, the map shows the most powerful swell tracking across near-shore open water and not the peak waves experienced by boats out at sea. Move your mouse over the ocean swell symbols or the surf breaks on the coastline to see a more detailed surf forecast including wave period and wind conditions. The forecast updates every 6 hours and most live weather reports update every hour. You can animate the Massachusetts Surf map or show live wind and wave conditions as reported from wavebuoys and local weather stations. Surf breaks shown along the Massachusetts coastline are also listed below.

Massachusetts Surf Breaks

Flat, long shoreline with clean rights and lefts along a three mile stretch of easily accessible waves. Easy to find an open spot even on a crowded day. Local ground swells bring consistent waves, especially in fall.....Stacey Mac

The setup of beaches in Massachusetts would make you think there's an endless array of breaks although waves can be very few and far between. Nantucket and Martha tend to get the best of what's on offer although localism and access can be a problem.
