  12. Business as usual after a brief onshore interlude. Back to sunny, light offshore NW and shoulder to head-high here with just a couple out. Warm too. Bigger and busier at Mororori with about 25 surfers out at 8am before work.
  13. The SE wind came up overnight as forecast and spoiled the surf at the Gisborne breaks but at Tologa this was just a light cross-off with good conditions south of the rivermouth with lvery ong lefts around shoulder to head-high and just 3 surfers out.
  14. Really excellent conditions at Wainui and Makorori all day Tuesday with warm sunshine and very light offshore winds. Set waves that were well overhead at favoured breaks. A good crowd at Makorori Point all day but other spots were quiet.

  18. Excellent surf conditions along the reefs of the Mahia East Coast road. The offshore SW wind fell light and the swell moderated as the tide came in but sets were still overhead at dusk at the most exposed spots. Smaller Sunday and watch out for a very long period south swell on Monday.
  19. Perfect shape but on the small side, as forecast. About waist to choulder-high on the peaks. Sunny and warm with a moderate NW blowing directly offshore.
  20. The swell moderated overnight but it was still up to about head-high at exposed reefs along the Tora coast. Sunny with light to moderate cross-off/off which varied between NW and SW and slowly increased until it beccame a ragged here.

Ideal conditions here on Monday with a good crowd out here and also at Dee Dees. Well overhead here, especially in the am and just overhead at Dee Dees. Clear skies and light winds. Shortish period, so it felt forgiving for the size. Smaller tomorrow with more wind about too.
