North Bar Surf Guide
North Bar in Long Island NY is a quite exposed beach and reef break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the southwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east. A right hand reef break. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for rocks, rips and jellyfish.
