Spanish Bay-Dunes in Monterey is an exposed beach and reef break that has reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west. A right hand reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Beware of rocks and sharks.
