Aberdeen Surf Guide
Aberdeen on the East Coast is an exposed beach/groynes/rivermouth break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter and spring are the optimum times of year to visit. Works best in offshore winds from the southwest. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the best wave direction is from the southeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around low tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Beware of groynes/rips.
