Works best in offshore winds from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and also offers a left hand point break too. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded.
