Cape Cross in Swakopmund is an exposed reef and point break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast with some shelter here from southwest winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the west southwest. No beach break here and also offers a left hand point break too. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for seals,rocks and sharks.
