Works best in offshore winds from the west northwest with some shelter here from west winds. Waves can be ok even in light onshore winds Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the best wave direction is from the north. There is no point break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. The location means that it never gets crowded. Rocks are a hazard.
