Chocks Surf Guide
Chocks in Big Island is an exposed reef break that only works when conditions are just right. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the east southeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north northwest. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for - Urchins - Rips / undertow - Rocks.
