Cloud 9 Surf Guide
Cloud 9 in Siargao Islands is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf. Autumn and winter are the optimum times of year for waves. The best wind direction is from the southwest. Windswells are much more common than groundswells and the best wave direction is from the northeast. There are left and right breaking reefs. Best around high tide when the tide is rising. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
