Works best in offshore winds from the south southeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. There is no reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Take care of - Rips / undertow - Rocks - Localism - Sharks.
