Newport Reef Surf Guide
Newport Reef in Sydney North is an exposed reef break that only works once in a while. Summer offers the favoured conditions for surfing. Offshore winds blow from the southwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. A right hand reef. Rarely crowded here. Beware of urchins, rips, rocks and sharks.
