Pai-Pai Surf Guide
Pai-Pai in Raiatea is an exposed reef break that only works once in a while. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Offshore winds are from the northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. A left hand reef break. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Hazards include coral,urchin, rips, rocks,localism.
