Paparahi Point in Northland is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf The best wind direction is from the south. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north northeast. There is no reef break. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. It very rarely gets crowded here. Beware of rips and sharks.
