Marina di Campo / Pineta in Elba is a quite exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the north northeast. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the ideal wave direction is from the south. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and a left hand reef break too. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of rocks in the line up.
