Playa de las Americas in Tenerife is an exposed beach and reef break that usually has waves, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the east. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach breaks peel to the left and in addition, both left and right reef breaks add variety. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Likely to be crowded if working. Take care of rocks and locals.
