We hiked into Sandwood Bay based on a forecast printed out 5 days earlier. Just as predicted, the flatness ended late afternoon and by evening the waves were overhead. Unfortunately the forecast was right about the wind swinging slowly onshore but for a few hours it was really excellent. Next day at Oldshoremore was about 3m and howling onshore gales and rain.
