Tank Beach in Saipan is an exposed beach and reef break that has quite reliable surf. The best conditions for surfing are during the cyclone season. Works best in offshore winds from the southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when the surf is up, crowds are unknown. Hazards include - Urchins - Rocks - Sharks.
