The Fort Surf Guide
The Fort in Sonoma is a quite exposed reef break that has reliable surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. A left hand reef break. Best around high tide. Sometimes crowded. Beware of sharks, rips and rocks.
