Tuapeka Point in Chatham Islands is an exposed beach and point break that has very reliable surf and works all around the year. Ideal winds are from the south. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights and there is a left hand point break too. Good surf at all stages of the tide. The location means that it never gets crowded. Beware of - Rips / undertow - Localism - Sharks.
