Vanthrax Surf Guide
Vanthrax in La Cote Basque is a quite exposed reef break that has unreliable waves. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Ideal winds are from the west southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the west northwest. Best around low tide when the tide is falling. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Beware of - Rips / undertow - Rocks - Localism.
