Basse-Pointe on the North Coast is an exposed reef break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the south southwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the north northeast. A choice of left and right reefs. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded Hazards include urchins, rips and rocks.
