Baches Surf Guide
Baches in The Wairarapa is a sheltered beach break that does not work very often. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Offshore winds are from the northeast with some shelter here from southeast winds. Still reasonable in light onshore winds Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the south. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights together with both left and right hand reef breaks offshore. Best around high tide when the tide is rising. An uncrowded break, even when it is working. Watch out for rocks.
